Chrysler Building (left)
The Chrysler Building was completed in 1930 and is considered one of the most important Art Deco structures. The 318-meter-high skyscraper was commissioned by the Chrysler Corporation and designed by architect William Van Alen. Particularly characteristic are its gleaming stainless steel spire and the elaborate ornamentation, which continue to make the building one of New York's most beautiful skyscrapers.
Rockefeller Center (right)
Rockefeller Center is an extensive building complex in the heart of Manhattan and one of New York's most famous landmarks. Built between 1930 and 1939, the complex comprises 19 Art Deco buildings. Particularly famous are the "Top of the Rock" observation deck, the ice rink, and the festively decorated Christmas tree, which attracts millions of visitors every year.
