Chrysler Building (left)
The Chrysler Building was completed in 1930 and is considered one of the most significant Art Deco structures. The 318-meter-tall skyscraper was commissioned by the Chrysler Corporation and designed by architect William Van Alen. Its gleaming stainless steel spire and elaborate ornamentation are particularly characteristic, making it one of New York's most beautiful skyscrapers to this day.
Grand Central Station (right)
Grand Central Terminal opened in 1913 and is one of the world's most important railway stations. The magnificent Beaux-Arts style terminal has a total of 67 tracks and is considered the station with the most platforms worldwide. Its impressive main hall with its astronomical ceiling design and the monumental station clock above the information booth are particularly well-known.
