Powder Tower (left)
The Powder Tower was built in 1475 as a representative city gate to Prague's Old Town. It received its current name because gunpowder was later stored here. With its Late Gothic architecture and a height of 65 meters, the tower marks the beginning of the historic Royal Route, along which Bohemian rulers once traveled to Prague Castle for their coronation.
