TV Tower (left)
The Berlin TV Tower was built between 1964 and 1969 according to the designs of architects Hermann Henselmann, Jörg Streitparth, Fritz Dieter, Günter Franke, and Werner Ahrendt. With a height of 368 meters, it is the tallest tower in Germany and also the sixth-tallest TV tower in Europe. The TV Tower is located at Alexanderplatz in Berlin's Mitte district and was opened in October 1969 in the territory of the former GDR. Today, it is one of the most famous landmarks of Berlin and all of Germany.
Rotes Rathaus (right)
The Rotes Rathaus was built between 1861 and 1869 according to the plans of master builder Hermann Friedrich Waesemann. The building owes its name to its striking red brick facade. Since 1992, the Rotes Rathaus has been the seat of the Berlin Senate and the Governing Mayor. The historic building is located near Alexanderplatz in the heart of Berlin.
