Oberbaumbrücke (right)
The Oberbaumbrücke was built between 1894 and 1896 in the Neo-Gothic style according to the plans of architect Otto Stahn. It connects the Berlin districts of Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg and is now considered a landmark of the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district. After reunification, the bridge was extensively restored and modernized according to designs by architect Santiago Calatrava. Its striking towers and red bricks make the Oberbaumbrücke one of Berlin's most beautiful bridges.
