Hackescher Markt (left)
Hackescher Markt is located between Friedrichstraße and Alexanderplatz in Berlin's Mitte district. The quarter has developed into a popular creative and trendy district, especially since the 1990s. Today, designer and fashion shops, international brands, as well as numerous bars, restaurants, and cafés characterize the image of Hackescher Markt. At the same time, the area is also known for its historic courtyards and popular weekly market.
World Clock (right)
The World Clock on Alexanderplatz was completed in 1969 based on a design by Erich John. The clock shows the times of numerous cities worldwide and is one of Berlin's most famous meeting points. Due to its futuristic design, the World Clock quickly became a popular landmark of the capital.
