Manhattan Bridge
Since its opening in 1909, the Manhattan Bridge has connected the boroughs of Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn across the East River. The approximately 2-kilometer-long suspension bridge was built according to the plans of engineer Leon S. Moisseiff and is one of New York's significant bridge structures. With its distinctive blue steel constructions, neo-Gothic portals, and impressive views of the Manhattan skyline, it is now one of the city's most popular photo motifs.
